The Coracle Trail

Follow the Coracle Trail to visit the Old Coracle Shed, by the Iron Bridge and the free New Coracle Shed exhibition at the Green Wood Centre. Less than a mile long walk through the historic town of Ironbridge, along the edge of the beautiful River Severn

Click the image to the left to open the Trail. It shows your location when you are in Ironbridge. Click the red spots to magically take you back in time to see Ironbridge in the heyday of the Coracle men.

The Interactive Map was designed by Graham Peet with illustrations by Amanda Hillier, photographs by Charlotte Wade and Programming by Sakab Bashir.

Postcode Local Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. We have received £15,000 from the Trust to help restore the slipway at the Old Coracle Shed, reconnecting the Shed to the River for the first time in over 70 years
