The Coracle Man Sculpture

The Coracle Man Sculpture

Beside the Museum of the Gorge and Visitor Information Centre we have erected a magnificent sculpture in recognition of all the coracle men (and women!) of Ironbridge.

The sculpture is based on a paper cut-out made by local artist David Fieldhouse. The Sculpture is fabricated by Luke Parry, IHS Arts. Designed by Graham Peet.

Postcode Local Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. We have received £15,000 from the Trust to help restore the slipway at the Old Coracle Shed, reconnecting the Shed to the River for the first time in over 70 years
