School and Group Visits

FREE visits to the New Coracle Shed, the Old Coracle Shed and the Coracle Trail.

School and Group Visits

We welcome school / group visits to the Ironbridge Coracle Sheds and the Coracle Trail.  The story of the Ironbridge Coracle offers  great educational opportunities and is relevant to all key Stages but  particularly for Key Stages 2 and 3, with cross curricular links.

  • Self-facilitated visits are free of charge
  • Potential to combine a visit to the New Coracle Shed with geography fieldwork study in Ironbridge
  • Variety of cross-curricular links to follow-up back in school
  • Ideal for small group visits e.g. nurture or pastoral groups and special settings

Below are some downloadable educational resources.  These are designed primarily for children aged 7 -11 years,  however younger and older children could still engage meaningfully with the activities.

All activities are designed to take place at the New Coracle Shed.
